Underground
Parking Garage CFD Analysis
Computational simulations
are proposed to investigate flow and CO concentration
fields in the underground parking structure at
a Hospital. This underground parking consists of three levels with a total
area of 1,014,544 ft2 and has a capacity of 2,110 cars.
The Client likes to optimize the CFM and the locations of exhausts and intakes
in order to minimize CO accumulation within
the parking area. With CFD data provided by us, the Client could evaluate the
effectiveness of the proposed system by the
inside flow patterns and a CO concentration distribution in the parking area
for the proposed design configuration. After a review
of the CFD results, the Client might try to modify the geometry/configuration
for better performance of the ventilation system
for the underground parking structure. The Client likes to evaluate the
effects of those modifications using CFD analysis.
